The Pandemic has caused havoc in this world..be it in the employment world, be it in the daily life or family life of the people around the globe. Kartik was locked up in his house..facing the pandemic with his family, doing work from the comfort of his home..but, he never knew what kind of tragedy was about to strike him. He was casually doing his daily work, when he heard from his mom that his grandpa has fever, cough, breathlessness and loss of smell..everything was the indicator of Covid..they treated grandpa at home for 2 days, but his situation kept getting worse..the oxygen level in his body kept on decreasing by the day..so the family decided to take grandpa to the hospital.

Getting a bed in the hospital was a struggle in itself..be it a private hospital or the ones run by government, each and every bed was occupied by some or the other patient fighting with covid..but it was necessary for Kartik to find a bed because his grandpa was truly suffering..so, Kartik decided to reach out to his friends for help and fortunately, he found a friend who could arrange a bed in a hospital because his father was the trustee of that particular hospital..so, grandpa was wheeled in immediately and was put on oxygen support..meanwhile, everyone else in the family were freaking out over grandpa’s health.

The whole family could not visit grandpa unfortunately because the Covid ward did not allow any visitors because of the risk of virus spreading to them..so everyone was praying from the home itself. Grandpa was getting better after getting admitted for 3 days, but on the fourth day, he collapsed and was put on life support system because his organs stopped functioning..everyone was naturally freaked out because it was a very crucial stage for grandpa..also, Kartik’s father and grandmother had contracted the virus too..but, the symptoms were manageable. 

Kartik was constantly in contact with the nurse and doctor on duty in his grandpa’s ward..but unfortunately, they could only inform them about his situation getting worse by the hour. Everyone was so worried sick and just could not give themselves rest. But, one day Kartik received a call from the nurse on duty that his grandpa had passed away because his oxygen levels could not keep up..everyone was in absolute distress and could not comprehend the news of beloved grandpa passing away. 

The house was echoing with sounds of hysterical crying and moaning out of the loss they had suffered..Kartik was the one who was handling everything..his father, his mother and his grandmother. They were so anguished about the fact that they wouldn’t be able to even say goodbye to their family member, but this situation was something thAt they couldn’t do anything about..they were helpless and grief stricken.

The family decided to see off their precious family mother with respect anyway, so they decided to arrange a prayer meet through Zoom app..so, Kartik created a photo invite with all the details written on it..he used rip photo editor for it and also added a smiling picture of his grandpa. The family then bid goodbye to their loved one with respect, love, and a lot of tears. 

Kartik would certainly miss his grandpa a lot, but he is happy that his grandpa did not suffer for a very long time and he went in peace without any regrets..he was happy that his grandpa was all smiles when he left for his heavenly abode (as the nurse told him).
