In addition to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, additional features for NBA 2K22's MyNBA mode have been announced. The new features, which were detailed in a blog post, include the MyStaff system, a more in-depth training system, and three new pre-built teams to be introduced into the league.
The MyStaff system, which is the most significant addition to the MyNBA mode, allows players to customize their entire front office staff, with four departments and a maximum of 17 staff members, is the most significant addition. In order for the team to succeed, four key departments must be filled: the Front Office, Coaching, Scouting, and Sports Medicine departments. Each department provides a unique set of skills that are beneficial to the team. NBA 2K22: The Most Effective Center Build To Choose
Staff members can have a variety of characteristics, such as charisma and financial acumen, that will make them more suitable for different jobs. Personnel members can be moved freely between jobs based on which attributes are more important to the team at the time of the transfer or how their attributes develop over time. Each job has a distinct benefit, so players will need to be picky about which positions they fill in order to maximize their benefits. For example, the Sleep Doctor assists the team in managing its overall wellness, which allows for better fatigue management as the season progresses.
One of the other modifications to the MyNBA mode is the addition of the Prep Hub, which alters the way in which training is conducted. The Prep Hub is a single menu that contains all of the information you need about training, fatigue, and your next opponent all in one place. The team proficiency rating is also displayed in the menu, which indicates how well the Head Coach's playstyle meshes with the team and the rest of the staff. Team training schedules, as well as individual player training, can be viewed in the Prep Hub, which is accessible to players. The training will be pre-filled based on the Head Coach's instructions, but players will be required to make adjustments in order to keep fatigue to a minimum throughout the season. The staff system, as well as the Prep Hub, are only available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Aside from that, three new pre-built teams have been added to NBA 2K22:
The Bronx Brawlers, the Honolulu Breeze, and the Omaha Airmen are all professional baseball teams. Logos, uniforms, and arenas are included for each of the three teams, allowing players to incorporate them into their MyNBA league from the start or add them as expansion teams later on.
NBA 2K22 will be released on September 10 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Check out GameSpot's NBA 2K22 preorder guide for more information.
