There are certainly not many words to describe properly how important the internet has become in our lives..the internet has not only made our lives easier, but it has also made it more interesting and engaging. But just like everything, the internet comes with its own set of pros and cons.
PROS
- It has made communication way easier than before. Be it through video calls, international calls or standard calls..everything is cheaper and less complicated as compared to earlier.
- The internet has made money transactions a breeze as compared to earlier..due to the internet, transactions can be carried forward through the comfort of our own homes and that too, in a jiffy...whereas earlier banks or financial institutions are authorized to make any kind of transactions which was a very time taking and frustrating process.
- The internet has enabled a lot of careers to be launched..be it online businesses, influencers, digital marketing, blogging, social media commerce,etc. Earlier, traditional businesses or direct offices were the ones generating employment, but now, there is a lot of increased employment opportunities due to the emergence of the internet.
- Social media has enabled us to connect with our loved ones..even with those who are either far away or not so much in contact. Giants like Facebook, Instagram,etc have enabled us to come in contact with people who are far,far away from us.

CONS
- The internet has a lot of space that has violent content which may be destructive for a child to view. It may affect a child’s mind in a very negative manner.
- There are a lot of scams on the internet..which may rob you of your money if you use a debit/credit card.
- Along with the correct information, the internet is full of wrong and dangerous information which could prove to be very volatile for the people who blindly follow the internet.
- There are a lot of people on the internet who tend to troll or bully other people on the internet..just for the sake of fun..this could be very hurtful or confusing for the person who is at the brunt of it.
- Over usage of the internet(which means over usage of screens) can lead to damage of the eyes, brain and overall mental health of a person.
The internet is surely a bane for the likes of us..but surely, it should be used with caution and in case children are using it, they should be monitored. The internet is helpful as long as we keep it clean and use it with complete diligence and maturity.
