What are the uses of Botox injections?

Botox usage history, approvals and brands:

Botulinum type A was first used by an ophthalmologist named Alan Scott to treat blepharospasm (eyelid contractility disorder) and other eye muscle disorders. This use of Botox was approved in 1989 by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Alan Scott found that during the treatment of eyelid contractility, the deep grooves between the eyebrows (frown line) completely disappear. Finally, in 2002, the FDA approved the use of botulinum type A to eliminate lines between the eyebrows. In 2013, the use of Botox to treat wrinkles on the sides of the eyes (crow's feet lines) was also approved by the FDA. In 2016, more than 4.5 million people used Botox to get rid of facial wrinkles. In recent years, Botox injections have topped the list of skin rejuvenation methods.

Reputable Botox brands:

Prior to 2009, the only FDA-approved botulinum type A product was the allergen brand Botox. This is why botulinum injection was known as Botox. If Botox is just one of the products with this substance that is used to treat muscle disorders as well as beautify the skin. Botox made by Allergan Company is rare in Iran and is rarely used

In 2009, the second botulinum product was approved by the FDA. Made in the UK, the Dysport brand is currently used in more than 65 countries. The effectiveness and side effects of this drug are the same as Botox made by Allergan Company. Dysport is one of the most widely used brands of Botox in Iran.

The Noronox brand, a product of Korea, is the second most comprehensive brand of Botox in Iran. This product has a lower price than Dysport and similar effectiveness. Neuronox is not approved by the FDA, but its use is allowed in Iran.

The third authorized Botox brand in Iran is the Sport brand. Masport or Masport is an Iranian brand that has a lower price than other Botox. Transport is competitive with similar foreign models in terms of quality.

What is Botox?

Botox is an injectable cosmetic treatment that removes facial wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that caused it. Botox contains a diluted formulation of botulinum toxin that causes controlled weakness and muscle paralysis. As a result, the skin on the muscle relaxes and wrinkles are removed. Many patients believe that Botox has been able to eliminate smile lines, frown lines and other facial wrinkles.

Are you a good choice for Botox?

Adult men and women who are in good physical health are a good choice for Botox. You should not take Botox if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Most patients resort to Botox to reduce the signs of aging on their face. In fact, Botox is an alternative treatment for cosmetic surgeries such as skin rejuvenation. Some of the wrinkles that can be removed with Botox are:

Horizontal forehead wrinkles

Laughter line (from nose to corners of mouth)

The frown line between the eyebrows

Botox can be used in many wrinkles caused by facial muscle movement. Of course, it is not effective for wrinkles caused by sagging skin, gravity, or sun exposure. In addition to cosmetics, Botox is used to treat medical conditions such as involuntary blinking.
