Elder Scrolls Online has just launched the housing update, which allows players to purchase a home in Tamriel. The upcoming Morrowind expansion pack this Summer will bring the new Warden class and a new area to explore. For that, you’ll need to make sure your armor and weapons are ready. With so much new upcoming content, you’ll have to earn money to afford all of the new items. We have some tips on how to make your character richer.

Alts for daily writs

Turning in a daily crafting writ (crafting quest) gives you just over 600g on max level character. With 7 professions this equals over 4,200g each day, per character. This is straight-up gold received for turning in quests, not including other rewards.

Materials used for crafting items required for writs are typically under 200g total. This cost is easily offset by these other rewards you can receive:

Survey reports – approximately 2,000g worth of materials from one report. You can expect one a day per character, easily.

Legendary upgrade/improvement materials – 2,000g – 8,000g each. Maybe one a week.

Ornate and Intricate items – mostly vendor trash, but Jewelry Crafting intricate items can easily be sold on guild stores for a few hundred gold a piece.

Other crafting materials – enough to make up for the 200g crafting cost and then some.

Master Writs – can cost anywhere from 1,500g to over 50,000g. Sadly it requires fully leveled professions, which isn’t always recommended (see below).

Provisioning Recipes – try to get Provisioning to rank 2 as soon as you can – blue recipes are often worth around 2,000g.

PVP and Cyrodiil

You can make gold in PVP simply by participating in battles and fighting for your Alliance. As you earn Alliance Points you will be sent “rewards for the worthy” which contain an item and some gold. You can deconstruct the item, sell the materials and keep the gold. These rewards also have a chance to contain a Grand Soul Gem which is handy in PVP! You can also do quests in Cyrodiil each day which reward you with a little gold.

Crafting Furniture

Housing is the true endgame in ESO. I’m not lying! While the crown store does offer a lot of furnishing options, the prices for these items are lucrative. Players instead resort to buying these same furnishings (and others that are not on the crown store!) from guild traders instead.

If you have the necessary skill lines and passives needed to craft furnishings, I’d highly recommend doing so, especially any new furnishings that pertain to the newest DLC or chapter, as those furnishings are going to be the most in demand.

Purchasing and crafting the gold furnishing plans (as seen above, in the “master writ” section) is also a great way to make gold! I find that, especially upon their initial release, crafting and selling these gold furnishings are among one of the more profitable crafting endeavors in the game.

Alliance Points

Alliance Points are earned in PVP through battle and these can allow you to save some gold by purchasing certain items in Cyrodiil. You can purchase some base quality materials, such as glyphs, from the merchants in Cyrodiil for Alliance Points, thus saving your precious gold. There are also certain Item Sets and equipment sold from merchants in Cyrodiil which can only be purchased with Alliance Points.

Stealing

Stealing for gold is a creative way for ESO gold farming that is very enjoyable and special. In short, a simple way to manufacture low-level ESO gold.

At a fence in the Outlaw’s Refuge, you can sell stolen objects. At first, a small number of items are to be removed each day, but only green, blue, or purple items can be preserved. Popular products don’t sell as much as they do. Here are some lovely places to steal: Windhelm – several pickpocket drunks, ships in various cities, the City of Vivec for House Motifs, the paintings from Vvardenfell.

Flip Items

Whether it’s the low-key Baandari hawker who tells you in the / zone chat room or the forum, the player economy of The Elder Scrolls Online is still home to Tamriel’s hottest capital. For novices, the only problem is that ESO does not have a centralized market, which understandably throws away the veterans of traditional MMOs such as World of Warcraft. In contrast, each member of the guild can post up to 30 lists (single items or items or items sold directly) in its guild store, which is only visible to other members of the same guild. If the guild wants its members to sell to the rest of the world, it must hire guild merchants. Any NPC merchant from which random players can purchase items.

Motif Farming

As we spoke about earlier, crafters are always looking for materials such as motifs. If you’re not familiar with what a motif is, it’s a special design that players can use to implementing into their crafting of sets. Lucky for you, plenty of the daily quests you do can drop these motifs for eso how to make gold. And from there, you can sell these motifs. Alongside motifs, you’ll also need style material to craft them. The style material can be obtained from completing your daily quests, and as each style material has its own value, you could be making a healthy amount of gold by selling off valuable style materials. The value of style materials depends on their rarity, what they can make, and other usages.
